Now to begin in 2012?
A new piece of legislation was introduced in Minnesota that calls for wolf season to coincide with the firearm deer season, and a quota of 400 wolves to be harvested annually.
The bill also cuts the once projected license fee from $50 to $26, and it also changes the timing of the season. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources originally recommended a later season for wolves.
According to the Outdoor Hub, Minnesota has an estimated 3,000 wolves, more than any other state in the lower 48.
